Efficient Lawn Watering
Here at eorganiclawncareproducts.com we are deeply concerned about the environment. In addition to our organic lawn products here are some lawn watering tips to ensure that not a drop of water is wasted this summer.
1.Water according to the season.
Many people with automatic sprinkler timers don’t know how to use them properly. The will leave them on the same cycle during spring, summer, and fall. Your lawn needs much less water during the spring and fall – so be sure to set your automatic cycle to a shorter time during those seasons.
2.Only water in the morning.
The best time to water your lawn is between 6:00 and 10:00 A.M. The worst time to water your lawn is between 11:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. If you water during the hottest period of the day, much of the water is lost to evaporation. Be sure to set your schedule to the early morning to make the most out each drop.
3.Never run the sprinklers in a rainstorm.
On average the natural rainfall provides 30-40% of the water that your lawn needs. It is very important that you take advantage of this gift from the sky. Most automatic timers will have an optional rain sensor that will delay your sprinklers for the day. Make sure you get this feature on your system.
If you take the small amount of time to implement these insights both your lawn and the environment will thank you. We appreciate you stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!
